Middleton Tyas Neighbourhood Watch works closely with our local Richmondshire Police Officers who provide crime prevention information and advice.

We are involved in the setting up of a No Cold Calling Zone and regular Neighbourhood Watch / Police drop-in sessions. We also host one-off Crime Prevention Events as required.

The Richmond Neighbourhood Policing Team have some equipment that households can request to loan, free of charge when they go away on holiday. This includes items like shed alarms and plug timers so that a light will come on for a period of time to make it appear someone is home.

We write a column in the village newsletter and provide updates to the Parish Council. We are also liaising with our neighbouring Neighbourhood Watch groups.
